What are the main components of a mobile phone camera?

First,let's take a look at the basic working principle of a network camera:the optical image generated by the lens(LENS)is projected onto the surface of the image sensor,which is then converted into an electrical signal.After being converted into a digital image signal through A/D(analog signal)conversion,it is then sent to a digital signal processing chip(DSP)for processing.The image can be seen through the display.
Through the above process,it can be understood that the basic architecture of a network camera is mainly composed of three main components:lens(LENS),image sensor(CMOS Sensor),and digital signal processor(DSP).
(1)Lens Analysis
The lens of a network camera is mostly composed of an external metal"sleeve"and multiple layers of internal lenses.The lens structure of a lens consists of several lenses,including plastic or glass lenses.The typical lens structures used in PC cameras include 1G1P,1G2P,2G2P,4G,etc.Some products use 5G lenses.The more layers of lenses,the higher the cost.

In addition,there has been a long-standing debate in the field of digital cameras regarding the advantages and disadvantages of plastic/resin lenses and glass lenses.From the current technological perspective,it is difficult to say which one is better or worse.However,when applied to webcam products,it is anti aging(such as discoloration).The probability and speed of glass lens aging due to environmental factors are much smaller,that is,it can make the video quality longer.
(2)Sensor
Image sensor is a semiconductor chip that contains hundreds to millions of photodiodes on its surface.When a photodiode is illuminated by light,it generates an electric charge.
Image sensors can be divided into two categories:
1.CCD:Charge coupled device.The advantages of CCD are high sensitivity,low noise,and high signal-to-noise ratio.However,the production process is complex,costly,and requires high power consumption.CCD image sensors are rarely used in network camera products.
2.CMOS:Complementary metal oxide semiconductor.The advantages of CMOS are high integration,low power consumption,low cost,and high requirements for light sources.
Most of the sensors for domestic network camera products come from brands such as Micron(Micron)and OV(Omni Vision).
3.Digital Signal Processing Chip(DSP)
The digital signal processing chip DSP is the brain of a network camera,which is equivalent to the CPU in a computer.Its main function is to optimize and process the digital image signals from CMOS sensors through a series of complex mathematical algorithms,and transmit the processed signals to devices such as PCs through USB interfaces.It is the core device of a network camera.
The vast majority of network camera products in the current domestic market use the main control chips of Zhongxing Micro and Songhan.
